Word Cloud
The Word Cloud is created from the words taken from a page and converted into a keyword cloud. A Word Cloud is a visual representation of words based on a weight associated to each word. Page To Cloud uses the frequency (density) of the keywords in the page as the weight. Hence, a word cloud of a page gives a quick understanding of how a page is optimized for certain keywords. Also it can give a quick idea about what topics are being raised up in the text.
Sub Tag Word Cloud is generated by taking all the things belonging to a Tag and creates a Keyword Cloud out of those. So, you can think of the cloud generated by the Tag To Cloud as a list of sub-tags of the main tag. Or a tag cloud within a tag. This tag cloud gives related keywords of the main tag.
Word tags generation programmes work with either unstructured text or tab-separated data files containing weighted words or phrases. When given unstructured text, the program uses a word's relative frequency as its weight. Some programmes are able to process text in any language that can be represented in Unicode characters.
A word cloud can also be a visual depiction of frequently used words in your web site. It illustrates keyword density using font size. The more often a word appears on your site, the larger it appears within the word cloud.

CARTER HENRY (Video Email Software) says:
I never really think about word clouds…but there is something lovely about the Pope's words floating around in one…
PHILLIPS CARL (Video email) says:
Silly. Pointless.
EVANS ARTHUR (Photo rating software) says:
I disagree that clouds are dated or pointless. Many great sites use a tag cloud on their front pages. Most talked about topics show up largest, less popular topics show up smaller. Simple, interesting, and a great use of technology.
TURNER RYAN (Photo rating Hot or Not) says:
Word clouds are cool. Or are they hot? Either way, they're definitely a trend and fun to add to a document, even just as a design element. A word cloud — sometimes called a tag cloud, or a weighted list — is a way to visually describe the content of a document, a story, or a site.
You'd never want to create one of these manually (if you have that kind of time on your hands, I've got some other mind-numbing projects you can do for us). So instead, you need some kind of tool to do it for you, such as Wordle. But hey, we're InDesign users! We want to end up with the word cloud in our InDesign documents! I found out a script wich is cool, hot, and sick all at the same time. You can choose a font, number of words, and many other variables that I don't even yet understand. One of the benefits, of course, is that you can change each word individually — altering its color, placing an image into it, moving it, adding drop shadows or other transparency effects, and more!
